Lukáš Melník

producer, screenwriter, director and actor

Lukáš Melník was born in Šumperk where he spent his childhood along with his three younger siblings. After the secondary school he graduated from theater acting at JAMU (the School of Drama) in 2007. In the last year he was offered a contract by Jan Mikulášek in the Petr Bezruč Theatre in Ostrava. Lukáš Melník works in the Petr Bezruč Theatre up to this day, for example as Lensky / Eugene Onegin, Ivan Landsman / Colorful layers, Christian / Family celebration. As a guest he worked in HaDivadlo, a former 7 and a half Theatre in Brno and also in the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava.

Since studies he has already written several screenplays with his colleague and also JAMU graduate Marcel Škrkoň. At the time they have also met Ludvík Mareček who was their great support in writing and gave the authors valuable experience. The last scenarios Lukáš Melník wrote with Marcel Škrkoň were Lábus Movie and Isabel.
